If you’re like over seventy-five percent of Americans, you are ready to travel. We’re no exception.
My mother turned 80 this year and we’re helping her meet some of her travel goals. Some of her requests come at the price of serious crowds. But when you turn 80, do you want anyone telling you no? Nope. Me neither.
Our wish for her is the same as our wish for you, #travelgoals met!
Where to Go
Still, if you’re heading out and determined to avoid the crowds then take advantage of our research.
For example, if you tackle Utah’s Mighty 5 this summer try out Canyonlands National Park. This park had less than 750,000 visitors in 2018 compared to Zion’s 4.3 million or Bryce Canyon at just under 3 million.

Canyonlands has gorgeous vertigo-inducing views and more off-road opportunities than you could tackle in a month!
Or you could venture to our number one recommendation, Capitol Reef National Park.
This park, with only 1.2 million visitors that same year, gives you the classic Utah Mighty 5 experience of dramatic red rock landscapes, family-friendly hikes to aging arches, through deep gorges, as well as unique historical sites that highlight pioneer life and ancient petroglyphs.
How to Eat and Drink Like a Local
For those who prefer city life check out what San Francisco has to offer this summer. Follow our recommendations and venture to the Mission District to El Techo.
This rooftop restaurant and bar provides Latin American street food and great views! Order a Margarita del Techo, a blend of blanco tequila, mezcal, agave and lemon. Plan on brunch Saturday or Sunday from 11 – 3.
